In 2003, he became the Assistant Director of the Human Resource Management and Administration Division (Head of Finance and Account Unit) for Anti-Corruption Agency Malaysia. In 2004, he was appointed as the Principal Assistant Secretary of the Timber Industry Division under the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities, where he served for two years. He then served for one year as the Senior Principal Assistant Secretary, Administration and Finance Division, Melaka’s Chief Minister Department. Prior to becoming the Special Officer to the Secretary General of Treasury, MoF in 2011, he was appointed as Senior Private Secretary to the Secretary General of Treasury, MoF from 2007 until 2011. He was later appointed as Senior Advisor to Executive Director of the World Bank Group in Washington D.C., United States from 2012 to 2014. Qualifications: Dato’ Shahrol Anuwar holds a Master in Business Administration from Cardiff University, Wales, United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia.
